Adrenal Test
Our adrenal test analyzes DHEA and cortisol in saliva. Common symptoms of exhausted adrenals include fatigue/exhaustion, sleep disturbances, salt cravings, and low blood pressure. Adrenal fatigue, also known as tired adrenals, means that after a long period of severe stress or trauma, the adrenals decrease hormone production.

Description of Adrenal Test
Adrenal fatigue, also known as "tired adrenal glands", occurs when the adrenal glands reduce the production of hormones following an extended period of intense stress or trauma. This primarily affects the production of cortisol and DHEA. At the onset of the stress reaction, the adrenal glands increase the production of cortisol and DHEA. Studies have shown that DHEA levels drop in cases of exhaustion and prolonged stress. It's crucial to measure both cortisol and DHEA to provide the right support to the adrenal glands.
What is measured in the adrenal test?
The adrenal test measures both DHEA and cortisol through saliva sampling.
DHEA: The hormone vital for energy and well-being
Too low levels of DHEA can lead to symptoms such as fatigue, depression, decreased libido, and weight gain. On the other hand, excessively high levels of DHEA can result in symptoms like PCOS, acne, and hair loss. In chronic fatigue syndrome, it's common to have low DHEA levels.
