How does the test work?

You will receive your test result digitally after the laboratory has analyzed your sample. The test is delivered in a discreet box to your doorstep.

Things to consider

If you are taking SSRIs (antidepressants), 5-HTP, or tryptophan, your test result will be affected. Taking 5-HTP or tryptophan can increase the body's natural serotonin production, thus affecting your levels in the test result. As SSRIs (antidepressants) make serotonin stay longer in the blood rather than being absorbed into the cells, they too will impact your test result. If you wish to know your level in combination with the intake of these supplements, you can continue taking them as usual, but if you wish to determine your natural production without these products' influence, you should avoid them 5-7 days before collecting the test.
